August 'a frustrating time'

I had a great time in August working some cracking gigs, birthday parties and weddings etc! But I also performed at Hart's upstairs with Mike Gowland (pianist) and Lewis Mace. (saxophonist) Performing a cool, laid back night of Jazz and Blue's. Although it wasn't strictly a true Jazzy affair, as we put our own interpretation on those classic songs from Gershwin's 'Summertime' to the Isley Brothers 'Summer Breeze' plus adding two new original songs I co wrote with Tony Foster, the audience just really appreciated our arrangements and our new songs too; the feedback was just amazing!!(even to the true Jazz lovers) We will be back on Friday 18th November performing our UNPLUGGED set once again. (with another assortment of classics and originals) So if you really want to have a sophisticated night out, I would suggest that you hurry and book a place!

Why, you may ask was August frustrating? Well, as you know I'm working on some original material and recording was due to start on 16th August. Unfortunately, due to circumstances way beyond my control, it has had to be postponed for a few weeks. We lost a very integral part of the musical line up, so now it's a matter of re-arranging. Looking forward to getting back in the studio though, as I have some very interesting ideas!
